Host Hotel
The host hotel for the 2024 Marketing and Communications Conference is the beautiful Marriott Suites on Sand Key, located at 1201 Gulf Boulevard in Clearwater Beach, Florida. Every room in this recently renovated, all-suite hotel has a private balcony with a view of Clearwater Bay. All suites have a mini fridge, microwave, high speed internet access, room service and wet bar. Hotel amenities include a heated outdoor swimming pool with waterfall, whirlpool, beach bar, fitness center, spa (10% attendee discount) and full service salon. The venue is located right across the street from Sand Key Park and minutes from Clearwater Marine Aquarium, Clearwater Beach and a variety of restaurants, bars and shops.
Incidentals: Shriners Children’s is covering the cost of room and tax on the master account, but the hotel will ask you for a credit card to cover the cost of incidentals. Please check with your supervisor for expense report policies for incidentals.
Parking for locals: When you check in, let the front desk staff know you have a vehicle and the parking charge will be applied directly to the master account. You should not be charged for parking on your personal card.
Beach Party Venue
Get ready to feel the soft sand between your toes and smell the salt air! We’re closing out the conference with a beach party on the 13-acre private beach adjacent to the Sheraton Sand Key (right across the street from the host hotel).
Enjoy food, beverages, music, games and good company at this casual get together celebrating the Shriners Children’s Marketing and Communications team.
Getting there: It’s right across the street from the Marriott, so very walkable. If you are unable or don’t feel comfortable walking, one of our local staff can drive you.
Parking: If you do drive, use the App on the parking signage. Use CODE 2440 for discounted parking.
Attire
Attire for the entire conference is business casual, no shorts, jeans or t-shirts. Attire for the Wednesday night beach party is casual. Flip flops and sandals are encouraged! Dinners and beach parties are outdoors and Florida in September can be hot. Please pack accordingly.
